Everything networks considering POSEIDON360 usually ask. Don't see your question? Get in touch.
How do SaaS and on-premise differ and which should I choose?
POSEIDON360 runs as SaaS (hosted in the Microsoft Azure cloud) or on-premise, in your own infrastructure. SaaS means a faster start and no servers to maintain; on-premise is chosen by companies that want to keep data in-house. Functionally it's exactly the same platform.
Does the system work without internet?
Yes. The core is event-driven - if connectivity drops, points of sale keep working and once the connection is restored they reconcile data automatically. Sales don't stop.
What devices does POSEIDON360 run on?
On a wide range of Android devices - phones, tablets and payment terminals from various manufacturers. The POS comes in portrait and landscape versions, with or without a built-in printer and in a dual-screen variant with a customer-facing display and NFC contactless payment.
What are SoftPOS and a software fiscal register?
SoftPOS turns an Android device into a payment terminal (contactless payment) and a software fiscal register replaces a physical fiscal device. Together they remove the need for a separate payment terminal and fiscal printer - taking the order, payment and fiscalisation all happen on a single device. In Poland, fiscalisation is handled by XKASA - with daily and monthly reports and e-invoicing (KSeF); in other markets the platform uses local fiscal solutions.
Do I have to replace my current system?
Not necessarily. POSEIDON360 can act as an operational layer on top of existing systems, orchestrating processes in real time - without replacing your current infrastructure. It can also be a full system deployed from scratch.
What about security and data isolation?
The platform is multi-tenant - a single instance serves many locations and thousands of devices, with data isolation for each venue. Access is granted by role, with per-device keys.
Can one platform handle both hospitality and retail?
Yes. POSEIDON360 mirrors your entire network structure - from the group, through brands and formats, down to a single outlet - and lets you run different types of business from one panel, including side by side.
How does multi-location management work?
From a central panel you configure the organisation, the offer, prices, discounts and devices. Changes - prices or menus, for example - propagate across the entire device fleet and data is consolidated centrally, with one-click switching between venues.
Can I start with one venue and scale later?
Yes. You can launch a single venue and add more outlets and stations as you grow. You own the standard Android devices outright and you tailor the subscription to your scale - with no long-term lock-in.
How many languages does the interface support?
The interface is multilingual, so your staff can work in their own language. The specific set of languages is agreed during implementation.
