What is POSEIDON360 software?
POSEIDON360 is a comprehensive IT solution that supports the running of a modern restaurant and at the same time reduces the total costs associated with equipping sales counters. Our software helps you manage orders, food issuance, reservations, inventory, staff schedules and many other aspects of your food service operation. You can learn more about this by reading the descriptions of each module.
Is it worth using restaurant sales software instead of a cash register?
Yes, there are many reasons to consider when choosing between a fiscal cash register and a sales system. Here are some arguments for choosing a POS system:
Versatility and functionality: the sales software offers much more than a traditional cash register. In addition to recording sales, it allows you to speed up customer service, automatically send orders to the kitchen, manage promotions, record staff time, analyze and access data stored in the cloud, and many, many other features. POSEIDON360 is an all-in-one solution that makes it easy to manage various aspects of a foodservice operation.
Cost and savings: POSEIDON360 sales software does not require investment in expensive fiscal equipment. An optional add-on device is a regular voucher printer, if the restaurateur wants to print paper confirmations that the transaction has been fiscalized. Fiscal cash registers, in the form of software, emit the so-called. eParagon, so the confirmation can be printed on any device and only when the customer expects it. Costs, on the other hand, are limited to a favorable monthly subscription.
Accepting electronic payments: Sales systems can be integrated with electronic payment providers. At POSEIDON360, we have gone a step further and tightly integrated our system with SoftPOS (terminals in the form of software that run on almost any Android device with a built-in NFC antenna, for example, this applies to most cell phones). Using SoftPOS makes it possible to forgo leasing a payment terminal while maintaining the ability to accept card payments. In the following paragraphs you will find more information about the recommended devices that work with POSEIDON360.
Recording of sales: cash registers, which operate as software, enable legal recording of sales in accordance with current tax regulations. You can issue both paper receipts (printed on a fiscal printer) and e-receipts, which are considered full-fledged proof of purchase and payment. This second option, primarily associated with virtual cash registers, offers at least two benefits. First of all, the owner of a catering establishment does not need to equip stations with expensive fiscal printers. Secondly, the issuance of an eParagon does not entail an obligation to print a receipt every time. This, in turn, means savings on the consumption of paper rolls and a better environmental effect by reducing the amount of trash generated.
Convenient operation: POSEIDON360 + XKASA + SoftPOS software are tightly integrated with each other and the cooperation between components is designed so that everything works together on one device. Since then, the waiter has not
no longer has to “juggle” multiple devices, print receipts on the counter, look for a payment terminal and approach the table multiple times to close a single transaction. We simplify processes and make it easier to function.
I can use a fiscal cash register to record sales. Do I really need sales software?
The fiscal cash register records sales from a tax point of view and does not offer any functions that support the management of a catering establishment. On the other hand, sales software (a.k.a. POS system) supports you in the daily management of your restaurant through numerous functions, which you can read about on our website. By using the right solution, you control your business better and more efficiently. You make better decisions by saving your time. Only a few clicks on the computer screen separates you from complete information about the current situation. So, it can be confidently said that sales software offers much more than a traditional cash register. There are many more advantages to the POSEIDON360 system.
How big should a food service establishment be to use a POS system?
Every catering establishment should use a sales system. Informed business decisions should be set on a solid foundation. Data analysis, employee control, cost control, comprehensive reports, this information is essential for any restaurant, even the smallest.
Sales software is expensive and requires an equally expensive fiscal printer. Can I afford it?
Our sales software comes with favorable pricing plans and reduces the cost of investing in expensive hardware, including fiscal equipment. POSEIDON360 software works with a fiscal cash register in the form of software, which is available as part of a comprehensive offer. Therefore, you do not need to invest in an expensive fiscal printer. All you need is a subscription to POSEIDON360 in the fiscal variant. Costs are limited to software fees in a subscription model. POSEIDON360 is available in different tariff plans depending on the length of the contract and the number of devices used at your premises. We will be happy to help you choose.

POSEIDON360 is designed to run on devices running the Android operating system, i.e. on tablets, smartphones and other Android devices designed for the food service industry. In the case of POSEIDON360, this includes self-service kiosks, which sets our software apart from other available solutions. For more on Android kiosks and the advantages associated with their use, see the section describing the various modules of the POSEIDON360 system.

prepared in such a way that it can be used on screens with typical diagonals, i.e. 5″, 5,5″, 6″, 10″, 15″ i 21,5″.
What selection criteria should I follow when choosing equipment for a catering operation?
First of all, we recommend choosing equipment that is designed for use in the restaurant business. Consumer appliances are often excellent devices, but they don’t necessarily work well in food service. Therefore, when choosing equipment for a catering establishment, we suggest considering at least the following selection criteria:
Purchase price: One of the primary criteria for selection is the price for the device. We suggest conducting price analysis more broadly than just in the context of buying a particular device. Service costs, potential breakdowns, consumable costs, maintenance costs or costs associated with additional but necessary equipment can make the total price not low at all.
Presence of the manufacturer in the local market: An important selection criterion should be the manufacturer’s continued presence in a particular market. There is never 100% certainty that the chosen manufacturer will be active in a given market for decades to come. Nonetheless, the local office, local structures and local personnel suggest that warranty obligations, access to spare parts and service care will be readily available.
Available device features: Despite the possibility of installing the mobile application on various Android devices, it is important to pay attention to whether the device in question supports all the functionality you are looking for. A good example is the NFC antenna used to pay and receive contactless payments. In the case of smartphones, it is rare to find devices through NFC communication capabilities. One in the case of tablets the matter is no longer so obvious. Suffice it to say that in the consumer device category, tablets with an NFC antenna are rare and usually very expensive. Both devices with vertical screens (such as on phones) and devices with horizontal screens are worth considering. For more information on the devices, see other FAQs, the blog and the online store.
Ecosystem: It is worth noting whether the device offered is part of a larger family of devices. A restaurant is not just a POS device on the counter. As your business grows, your needs may change and you may need to expand the range of equipment you use on your premises. There may be a need to implement monitors for communication with the kitchen (so-called Kitchen Displays). It is advisable to use equipment from a single manufacturer, as such devices are compatible with each other and easier to maintain.
Performance confirmed by the software vendor: We encourage you to take into account the hardware recommendations given by the sales system manufacturer. In this situation, we are assured that the devices are fully compatible with the software and unexpected problems should not arise.
Aftermarket: Have you thought about what to do with the equipment when you decide to go out of business? Things happen differently in life and it is useful to have a plan B. Many of the equipment you buy to run your business can have a second life. That goes for refrigeration equipment, furniture, kitchen equipment and many other items, including even POS monitors to drive sales. However, there are exceptions to this rule and this is, for example.
A fiscal printer that, once purchased and fisked, cannot be sold on the secondary market. This is because the fiscal printer is tied to the TIN of a particular enterprise. Software cash register allows you to recover some of the money you invested in the equipment, because once you complete the “virtual cash register closing” procedure, you can sell the phone or other device recovering the cash. This is worth considering.
Does POSEIDON360 recommend equipment from any manufacturer?
The team designing and developing the POSEIDON360 system tested a variety of devices during the ongoing development work. We started the work without equipment preferences. Ultimately, we came to the conclusion that it is worth considering using Sunmi equipment. We are assured that POSEIDON runs on Sunmi devices flawlessly.
In recent weeks, the Sunmi V3Mix device debuted in Europe, which we consider a conceptual masterpiece. Combining a 10-inch tablet with a printer and NFC reader means the waiter will no longer need another device. Using Sunmi V3Mix running POSEIDON360, you will take an order, send it to the kitchen, accept payment and print a confirmation of the transaction’s fiscalization using a virtual cash register. You can learn more about this device on Sunmi’s website or in the tab of our online store. We encourage you to read on.
Sunmi is a manufacturer that produces and sells more than one million units a year, most of which go to foodservice businesses around the world. The range of equipment is very wide and the devices are very innovative. In addition, the manufacturer has a sales office in Poland and provides warranty and post-warranty service.
Should the recommended electronic equipment be purchased from RCEPAY?
Don’t. The electronic equipment you plan to use can be purchased anywhere. We guarantee that on Sunmi devices our software works. Please contact us if you want to use other devices so that we can confirm the correct operation of the software.

Why is a subscription better than a one-time purchase?
The decision between subscription and one-time purchase depends on a number of factors, and which is better may depend on individual preferences and user needs. Here’s a list of the primary advantages of a subscription versus a one-time purchase.
Continuous benefits: A subscription often offers ongoing benefits, such as regular updates, new features, or access to exclusive content. For a one-time purchase, you get the product in one piece, and further enhancements may require an additional fee.
Staggered costs: Subscriptions allow you to spread costs over a specific period of time (e.g., a month or a year), which can be good for your budget. For a one-time purchase, you pay the full amount at once.
Updates and support: a subscription often includes not only the product itself, but also regular updates and technical support. For a one-time purchase, support may be time-limited, and upgrades may require additional fees.
Flexibility: subscriptions can be more flexible, allowing you to tailor the scope of services to your current needs. You can customize your subscription depending on how intensively you use the product or service.
New features and exclusive content: In some cases, subscriptions offer access to new features or exclusive content that are not available to one-time customers.
